So I’ve been experimenting with a client. I wanted to create a low-cost campaign with a maximum of traffic to their site. Here I’m referring to really low cost: $5/day!

Here’s what I did:

  1. First, you create an image that fits the Facebook ads 20% text image requirements.
  2. Then you post it on your company page.
  3. Then you boost it.
  4. Make sure you select your demographic appropriately.

But here is the magic of this low-cost campaign: you have to tell Facebook that you want to pay only on engagement. That’s the secret! If you tell it to do so, you will get traffic but then you pay only for those who will interact.

Well, the results are pretty awesome, I must say. We got a bunch of likes and comments, plus a lot of traffic to the site.

It’s hard to go lower than $5/day for promotion, isn’t? And it’s totally worth trying it out. At the end of the week, that’s $35. See if this $35 turned into more profit for your company. You can track the incoming traffic from Facebook to your site to see if any of it generated sales.

Run your boost for a few weeks. Then post another hot and improved image and repeat the process.
